![]() Big oil and the power utilities don't even have to nip these in the bud their chances of survival are very low even without assassinations, let alone their chances of thriving and actually threatening any of the incumbents. ![]() The rate at which startups in clean energy fail is really depressing. I tried to launch a clean-tech startup with some crazy innovations at one point, and the company failed. ![]() People under-estimate how difficult it is to launch any breakthrough product. This whole thing must smells of bullshit. How would these nefarious enemies of free energy suddenly know within hours that some physicist in some lab managed to achieve some breakthrough, in time to contract some hit men to raid his home? It's not as if he published these findings and showed himself to be an actual threat to any industries. I’m not saying such things aren’t possible through consciousness/psi/some other esoteric phenomena… But it’s incorrect to say we can just pull free energy from a quartz crystal… Never mind the conspiratorial undertones in the rest of the post title… Note that I’m only debating the title of the post here. There are literally zero examples of this happening, anywhere in the universe. Whilst there is inherent energy in all things, it is logically improbable to suggest we can extract 25% more energy from a system than we give it. You cannot take more energy “out” of a closed system, than you put “in”. But there’s a good reason why nobody has ever managed to build an actual, real, working perpetual motion machine. I agree that free energy is all around us, available for “harvesting” if we know how to do so. I agree with everything you’ve said… But it’s not quite the point I was originally making. Too much knowledge has been lost from poor handling! This is a place where content will be safe. We like to borrow the book, record it for future-proofing, and then give it back. We are much like the Library of Alexandria in that sense. On a rare occasion, a user resubmits but there's definitely been many good discussions lost. When archiving, we must share the original OPs username when we can! Everyone loves being credited! We prefer original submissions over crossposts, as often the original content will be lost to other subreddit moderators deleting it, and thus lost to time unfortunately. Here, we discuss things most often overlooked and share what we find. We use a very relaxed form of moderation here but certain posts will be removed if they don't follow our few rules. These posts will be removed as we focus more on the content that r/outsideofthebox is known for. You can use them to your advantage.Ģ) No Politics: While we agree politics are an important subject, there's more suitable subs for it out there. Respect and Appreciation are two of the most powerful devices we are capable of. Questions are great, but attacks are not. We are here to see another's perspective on a matter. This place may not be for you at this time if you have trouble reading something that doesn't align with your current thinking and can't respectfully discuss it. This means there will be posts you don't agree with. ![]() ![]() These posts will all be outside of the box in nature. We aren't here to argue, we're here to learn.
